The man of my dreams

When I get stressed, I recognize that my status as a great wife drops down to, well, a hard-to-be-around wife. I get punchy and I tend to take my stress out on my wonderful husband. He is a compassionate man, and I hope that he understands that he is the love of my life and I need to work on dealing with my stress without taking it out on him.

This picture was the first photo that was taken of the two of us together. We had been dating for a few months and my mom came down to Santa Fe, where I was in college, to visit. We went out to lunch and she took this photo at the table.

Three years later, I married the man of my dreams in a wedding fit for royalty. I just recently saw this photo when my mother-in-law visited us last month. I absolutely love this photo.

Steve, I love you. I admire your compassion, your patience, and your understanding. I love that you are a great husband and an even greater father. You are still the man of my dreams. Thank you for everything. I love you.
